OUR IDENTITY

Human potential.
Purposeful work.
Enterprise.

The United Associations of Trinidad and Tobago is a human capital development organization focused on developing people within, and preparing to enter, the workforce.

Our priority is the underpaid, low-income earners, unemployed persons and emerging employees. We help people understand who they are, why they exist, and their purpose and function, so they can express their potential through work, service and enterprise.

UATT’s prime focus is the development of human potential. Employment can become a platform for building a life, advancing a career, expressing personal ministry and developing enterprise.

OUR MISSION

Equip people to
express their value.

Develop and equip people to enter the workforce or entrepreneurship with an understanding of their identity, purpose and function, and to progress through the four domains of value expression: Hustle, Career, Ministry and Enterprise.

OUR VISION

Stronger families.
A developing Caribbean.

We envision a society, and a wider Caribbean community, that develops human capital potential and equips people to express their value in ways that strengthen family well-being, community development and national progress.

Our work begins in Trinidad and Tobago, with an ambition to extend throughout CARICOM.

FOUR DOMAINS OF VALUE EXPRESSION

Develop the person.
Expand their expression.

Hustle, Career, Ministry and Enterprise are the developmental domains in UATT’s own coaching framework. Each carries milestones for growth. UATT’s journey is designed to help people progress through each domain toward enterprise development, rather than remain confined to one.

01 / HUSTLE

Recognise your value.

Begin expressing your abilities through practical work, initiative and income-generating activity.

02 / CAREER

Develop your contribution.

Build professional capability and strategic thinking. Use your work to strengthen your life and prepare for greater responsibility.

03 / MINISTRY

Express your purpose.

Develop your personal ministry: purposeful service that expresses who you are, your function and your contribution to others.

04 / ENTERPRISE

Build lasting value.

Develop an enterprise that gives your potential a sustainable structure and contributes to families, communities and the nation.

These domains describe value expression; they do not rank a person’s worth. Developmental milestones guide progression, with the individual’s starting point and readiness shaping their journey.

WHY WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT?

Strategic employees.
Lives with direction.

We develop the workforce so that people can contribute strategically to their working environment while building their own lives.

A strategic employee understands the value of their role, strengthens their professional capability and uses work as a developmental platform. This equips the person for career advancement, purposeful service and, ultimately, enterprise development.

UATT seeks to help people move beyond persistent low income, underpayment and unemployment, and expand their opportunities beyond employment alone.

ASSOCIATIONS AS CONNECTORS

Reach the workforce.
Develop the person.

Our partnership strategy is to pursue membership and collaboration with workforce and industry associations. These relationships can connect UATT with employees, employers and the communities they serve.

Organizations we aim to engage include the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers Association and supermarket-sector associations. These are intended relationships, not claims of established membership, partnership or endorsement.

OUR DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION

Identity before
expression.

Coach Elijah Pierre’s NAMECODE framework supports reflection on Nature, Title, Function, Purpose, Essence, Designation and Identity. This foundation helps people connect who they are with how they contribute.

IntegrityEquityInnovationSustainability

Human development is the purpose. Workforce development is a pathway. Enterprise development is the culminating domain of value expression.

Our approach and its evidence.

Our mission, four domains and NAMECODE foundation describe UATT’s organizational philosophy. They are not official labour-market classifications or independently validated outcome claims. UATT’s role is developmental and union-neutral; it does not replace collective bargaining or trade-union representation.
